ServiceNow Gets a User Interface-Lift on November 19th

A large percentage of the ServiceNow interface will now see "less wrinkles."

A new user interface (UI) is coming to ServiceNow. It will allow you more control to simplify navigation within the tool. Enhancements include:

Split Screens - View list and form panes at the same time, similar to an email client.

Resize Controls - Resize list and form panes displayed with split screens.

Bookmarks - Customize a tool bar with quick links to commonly used features.

Flyout Windows - Open information windows without navigating away from your working panes.

Using these new UI enhancements, you will be able to configure your ServiceNow window to quickly display the information most beneficial to you. However, if you prefer not to use the new interface, there will be a toggle link at the top of the screen to switch you back to the original UI.

The official unveiling of this new ServiceNow interface will be at the November IT Briefing and additional information will be sent to the Local-L and IM-IN listservs. You may also visit the SMCC website at http://smcc.emory.edu to view release schedules as well as upcoming features and enhancements to ServiceNow.

Minor Nip-Tucks for ServiceNow on November 19th

To submit a suggestion on how to improve ServiceNow, enter a request on the self-service homepage. Requests are reviewed by the appropriate ITSM Process Managers and then submitted to the SMCC for approval and prioritization. For questions about any of these items please visit the SMCC Website or email us at ITSMO@Enterprise.emory.net.
